The analog/digital hybrid synthesizer Modulus 002 features 12 discrete voices of polyphony with 2 NCOs and 2 subs per each. You can create thick layered sounds and use keyboard split function. There are also LFOs for each voice. Considering 4 oscillators (including subs) per voice, allocated LFOs and a global one you get proper sonic versatility. A 61-note semi-weighted Fatar keyboard with aftertouch features generous modulation and performance-friendly navigation.
The numerically controlled oscillators ensure precise, accurate and stable operation. Having four oscillators per voice gives you the unlimited range of voice streaming character which allows you, for example, to make the waveform of the sub match the wave of the NCO. The instrument is equipped with an expressive ladder filter which goes from a 6-pole operating to 1-pole.
The screen will react automatically to the knob tweak since the panel controls are touch sensitive and save you from menu diving.
Sequencing is versatile and full of capabilities owing to the 32-step sequencer (12 tracks). Every created sequence can be stored in a quick recall bank where favourite patches can be located as well allowing for using it as a setlist during live performances.
With a Hold function featured by a multi-mode arpeggiator it’s possible to apply sequencer and arpegiator together while the Animator function allows for sequencing any parameter including filter transitions, waveforms, and modulation.
The connectivity offers 2 audio inputs to process external audio beginning with the filter stage. You can connect the instrument to amplifier, mixer or audio interface via balanced XLR and unbalanced TRS outputs. Each of the 12 voices got its independent output provided thanks to a D-sub connection.
All the updating is carried via the Ethernet port which makes the cloud system enabled. All can be updated through the cloud platform including patches, sequences and settings as well as quickly load the sounds or share your patches with anyone and edit them on your computer.
