A 3-octave velocity sensitive Fatar keyboard 001 is an analog/digital hybrid synthesizer made by Modal Electronics, a bi-timbral, duophonic instrument.
The 2-voice synthesizer provides you with discrete duophonic sound while each voice features two numerically controlled oscillators (so-called NCOs). Actually each voice sports 4 oscillators in the whole considering there are two sub-oscillators per voice as well, a dedicated LFO for each one and a global LFO. Numerically controlled sound generation ensures accuracy and stability. The unique way of oscillator control allows for precise high-resolution waveform variation while allocated LFOs enable flexible modulation.
The screen will react automatically to the knob tweak since the panel controls are touch sensitive and save you from menu diving.
Sequencing is versatile and full of capabilities owing to the 32-step sequencer (2 tracks, 12 rows). Every created sequence can be stored in a quick recall bank where favourite patches can be located as well allowing for using it as a setlist during live performances.
With a Hold function featured by a multi-mode arpeggiator it’s possible to apply sequencer and arpegiator together while the Animator function allows for sequencing any parameter including filter transitions, waveforms, and modulation.
The connectivity offers 2 audio inputs to process audio beginning with the filter stage.
All the updating is carried via the Ethernet port which makes the cloud system enabled. All can be updated through the cloud platform including patches, sequences and settings as well as quickly load the sounds or share your patches with anyone and edit them on your computer.
