Super Gemini is a 20-voice polyphonic, bitimbral analog-hybrid synthesizer. Its dual-layer design provides immediate control over both timbral layers, allowing real-time transformation of performances.
With up to 20 voices of polyphony, voices and timbral layers can be split, dualled, and sequenced at the touch of a single control. The synth features four selectable voice assign modes (including two monophonic and two polyphonic modes) and eight delectable unison modes. A binaural option allows choosing between 10 true stereo 'super voices' or 20 non-binaural monaural voices in single layer mode, with a front panel control to disable binaural and enter fully true-mono audio output.
The Super Gemini includes unique digital hardware oscillators with wave morphing, cross & ring modulation, and bi-directional sync, feeding into an all-analog signal path inspired by classic vintage instruments. It's equipped with a 61-note semi-weighted keybed with polyphonic aftertouch and a custom engineered ribbon sensor for individual note articulation.
An intuitive 8x8 modulation matrix with pre-defined sources and destinations is included, with up to 25 more destinations that can be modulated using direct parameter mapping. LEDs provide clear feedback on mappings and modulation amounts. The synth offers master volume, tempo, and lower layer detune controls, individual hold modes for each layer, and selectable keyboard modes for setting up performances (single, dual, and split).
The Super Gemini provides 128 performance and 256 patch slots, 32 interchangeable waveforms, and 16 sequences for storing and editing sounds. It also supports MPE for external MPE controllers.
As the second synth in the 'Super' series, the Gemini builds on the rich sound of the Super 6. It features a true-stereo Binaural signal path with dual FPGAs and twin effects processors, offering a wide range of sonic possibilities from spectral dynamics to subharmonics.
