Ketron XD9
500.00 street price

Ketron XD9 was released in 2005. This synthesizer is an improved version of XD3: it has a 61-key keyboard, modulation wheels and 2 large built-in speakers. XD9 instrument has a 64-note polyphony.

The front part of the device is divided into several sections: at the top there is a display with all the most important information about the selection of banks/effects and editing, the left part features adjustment of volume/transpose, effects, and the right one offers the selection of voices (piano, organ, guitar, and even synths/pads).

The first section is a digital panel for selecting patches, and the second section with buttons is intended for configuring presets and menu navigating. In a multitimbral mode, XD9 works with GM-banks (292 patches) which sound quite realistic.

In addition to GM-banks, you can find 290 preset patches, 110 user and 24 drum kits. The first 3 GM-banks include different voices. A separate 4th bank is derived from GM. Several buttons on the control panel are used to program the presets.

"Panel" voices can contain up to 3 layers, where each layer represents one sound from the GM bank. In some samples, the performance is composed in a similar manner. Besides, two effect processors can be used to make the sound complete: reverb, chorus, distortion and delay.

Ketron XD8 stands out among the rest in its category, owing not to internal capabilities, but to the keyboard. Unlike other models of this line, XD8 has a chromatic keyboard: the right zone is limited with 52 keys, and the left one – with 120 for basses....

  Tabletop Synthesizer Module   300.00 U.S.Dollars

Ketron XD3 was released along with XD9 in 2005, and it differs in that the latter one lacks a keyboard, modulation/pitch wheel and sound amplification system. XD3 has a 64-note polyphony, and it is a music module that will provide an easy workflow, and...
