Motif XF6 has a 61-note FSX keyboard with an innovative mechanism perfect for passages and glissandos.
Motif XF6 makes you think of its price but fills the workstation with all the features so you don’t think of its functionality. And all of them are easily navigable. XF series offers 741MB of waveform memory presenting almost 4000 waves to diversify your working process. The instrument comprises many voices featured in the XS series and of course adds a lot of new sounds. 1664 voices, 128 MB of sample RAM, an integrated Yamaha Digital Mixer, direct-to-USB recording, proprietary VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling) technology are among the pleasant specs of the XF series.
18 smooth filter types, an 8-element (8 elements per voice thanks to the tone generator taken from the predecessor Motif XS) synth architecture with XSpanded articulation, filter envelopes, modeled amps, vocoder and equalizer contribute in shaping expressive sound.
A two-mode 16-track sequencer presents a Song mode with linear recording and a Pattern mode in which you can create loops and independent pieces as well as drop samples arranging them in a track. Use the chord recognition feature in order to make complex backup tracks with 4 intelligent arpeggiators (over 7000 patterns).
There was the flash memory support (optional up to 2GB) added to the series as well as a built-in SDRAM which are useful for sampling section. 128MB of internal SDRAM allows for sampling external audio, importing WAV files, adding vocals and acoustic instruments to the sequences. Recorded audio – even if you change the tempo during sampling – will be promptly synchronized. Sample vocals via connecting microphone to the A/D input.
The keyboard reproduced acoustic and analog instruments very accurately allowing you to enjoy some quality strings, Rhodes, dense and deep analog leads and basses, acoustic guitars. Drums and percussion are convincing and more than applicable as well.
