Up to 384 of user Voices and 128 customized Multis (select the pre-programmed templates and record your own tracks) can be stored on the instrument. A number of premium level studio quality effects was incorporated into MOTIF-RACK XS: 8 insert effects, 2 system effects (reverb and chorus will dress each instrument Part in the global mix), a master effect block, an independent Part EQ and Master EQ. 53 types of insert effects alter individual instruments. Vintage processors and some high-end effect units reproduction is available owing to the VCM technology.

You can record 14 individual Parts simultaneously along with the main stereo output from the device to your computer via an optional Firewire - FW16E interface. You’ll get access to additional 16 outs and 16 ins to all your MIDI data.
Have an overall control of Voice, Multi and Drum settings with the Editor software. By clicking and dragging you’ll be able to change the details of parameters not represented on the front panel. The intuitive control over the 16 Parts of each Multi is provided with a graphic mixer interface used by the Multi section.
