EOS B2000 is an extremely rare synthesizer which embraces the functionality of a workstation and an arranger. It used to be produced for the domestic market of Japan, although all the inscriptions on the housing and the display information are in English. The instrument has a semi-weighted dynamic 5-octave keyboard featuring aftertouch, and a built-in 3-way speaker system. EOS B2000 offers more than 1000 timbres based on AWM2 engine, XG MIDI standard support, a powerful sequencer (32 tracks + 16 pattern sequences, 20 songs).
If you compare EOS B2000 to the first Tyros, which would appear in a couple of years, it becomes obvious that, despite the overall superiority of the later model considering both the number of presets, and the interface as well as the user-friendliness, some of the achievements of EOS B2000 remained unsurpassed. It is worth mentioning the presence of AWM2 sound engine introduced in professional Yamaha synthesizers (Tyros - AWM of the first generation with updates and additions), a more advanced sequencer, very high quality of materials and assembly, built-in Hi-Fi audio system. At the same time, EOS B2000 is more than twice cheaper on the second hand market, and is much less common, which only makes it shine increasing the value in the minds and eyes of the collectors.
EOS B2000 was produced in 2 colors - silver and white.
