street priceMatrix 1000 is a synthesizer module built on the basis of Matrix 6 (6R) architecture.
Unlike the “6" models it doesn’t have external controls for tuning the sound; instead, there is a selection of 1000 preset patches, including 195 keys, 118 string, 130 wind and percussion instruments, 239 synthesizers, 119 basses, 74 leading parts and 125 Effects.
Editing patches via MIDI is available. For this, the following programs can be used: OB 6000, Lemour, MOTU Unisyn, Patch Touch.
Oberheim Matrix 1000 was used in the works of Apollo 440, Juno Reactor, Moby, Cirrus, Fatboy Slim, Laurent Garnier, ATB, Depeche Mode, Future Sound of London, Pet Shop Boys.

Matrix-6R is a keyboardless version of Oberheim Matrix-6 synthesizer. Designed for placement in a standard 19" rack. The unit was used in the compositions of Larry Fast, Larry Heard, OMD, Sparks, Mel Wesson and many others.
