System 55 is an exact copy and smart reconstruction of the modular system launched in 1973. To create a modern System 55, original parts and printed circuit boards were used, even the final processing of the wooden parts of the housing and the faceplates of the modules was done applying the authentic technology.
The synthesizer consists of 36 manually assembled modules encased in two wooden cabinets. System 55 includes:
Five 902 modules - a voltage controlled amplifier (VCA). 903A is a random signal generator. 904A is a voltage controlled low-pass filter (LP VCF). 904B is a voltage controlled high-pass filter (HP VCF). Five 911 modules – envelope generator. 911A is a dual-trigger digital delay generator. 914 is a 12-band equalizer with LP and HP-filter. 921 is a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The two 921A modules are the control module for the VCO 921B. Six 921B - VCO. 960 - sequencer of control signals. 961 - S and V-trig signal audio converter. 962 - channel switch sequencer. 992 - four-channel router, inverter, signal attenuator. 993 - S-trig signal router. 994 – signal fork. 995 - attenuator.
Also, the cables required for switching are included in the package. A total of 55 copies are planned to be released.
