German D occupies more memory capacity than any workstation would allocate to it which makes Krome stand out with its piano sounds. The keyboard offers 3 types of electric pianos each containing more sample data than any piano tone offered by other PCM synth within the same quality range.
The instrument presents a selection of 640 programs and 288 possible combinations. 600 preset patterns of the Drum Track feature were inherited from Kronos. Two arpeggiators can run simultaneously in a combination or sequencer mode.
Krome 61 was granted a velocity sensitive semi-weighted keyboard. The intuitive interface is ensured by the 800 x 480 pixel TouchView Color display.
The instrument offers a max polyphony of 120 voices, 3.8 GB of PCM memory, provides with 2 multi-mode filters per oscillator and 4 types of filter routing, 2 envelope generators, 2 LFOs, 2 AMS mixers, pitch envelope, 16 possible timbres and can act as a master keyboard controlling external MIDI devices.
The comprehensive effects section comprises 5 insert ones, 2 master, 1 total sporting 193 types. 32 presets are available per effect.
