The Ensoniq SQ-1 is a two-part, eight-voice polyphonic synthesizer and sequencer. It was released in 1985 by Ensoniq, a company known for producing some of the most popular synthesizers of the 1980s. The SQ-1 is a hybrid analog/digital synthesizer that features a built-in 8-track sequencer, two oscillators, two LFOs, and an 8-bit digital signal processor. It is capable of producing a wide range of sounds, from classic analog basses and leads to digital pads and sound effects. The SQ-1 is capable of creating complex sequences, and can be used to control other MIDI devices.
