A limited series of new Polyvoxes was released in 2016. Alexey Taber and Alex Pleninger, inspired by the cult Soviet synthesizer, released a modular version of the famous instrument.
85% of the new device represent the authentic components, the size was reduced and the keyboard - removed. All controls labels are written in Cyrillic (the words are translated at the bottom of the housing). The instrument became more compact but less affrodable.
The modern Polyvox is represented with 2 oscillators, ADR envelope for the filter and AR envelope for the amplifier, cutoff frequency and resonance settings, 7 waveforms, mono or duo mode, MIDI input, 1/4" connectors for envelope, cutoff frequency and oscillator external control.
Recently released Polyvox is 17 kg lighter than its prototype, however, made of metal, it is just as durable.
