Stage 2 EX HP76 is a digital synthesizer with a 76-note weighted hammer action vecolity sensitive keyboard. Factory Bank offers 7 sounds of piano, 5 grands, 11 electric pianos, harpsichord, clavier, and also includes strings and ensembles.

The Stage 2 keyboard includes sections of piano, organ and synth sounds with simultaneous playback capability, as well as 2 independent slots for using 2 organs, 2 pianos or 2 synthesizers.

The piano section is compatible with the pedal section of the Nord Triple Pedal, which is responsible for Dynamic Pedal Noise. The instrument is also compatible with Nord Piano Library, which allows you to constantly update your library. The keyboard represents a new Long Release function that contributes to the improvement of legato and represents the equivalent of a damper in acoustic instruments and electric pianos.

The organ section offers 3 tone wheel modes, giving a different character to the tuning of the instrument. Simulation of rotary speakers also has 3 modes. The section includes such popular transistor organs as Vox Continental and Farfisa Compact.

The synth section is represented with the reproduction of analog waves (saw simulation), the function of hard sync, pulse-width modulation, 3-operator FM synthesis, wavetables (62 waveforms) and samples. Using the Nord Sample Editor, you can create your own samples, whereas the Nord Sample Library libraries offer a number of famous instrumental voices, including Mellotron and Chamberlin.
The Extern section allows you to integrate external MIDI devices as part of the voices of the built-in library.

Stage 2 EX includes all the necessary effects for each of the sections providing the possibility to use autowah, tremolo, 2 phaser, 2 flangers, 2 chorus, vibe effect, delay with ping-pong mode, master clock sync. There are simulations of popular amplifiers, including Twin Reverb, Jazz Chorus 120 and Wurlitzer.
