Propellerhead, a Swedish music software developer, presented an updated spectral synthesizer Parsec 2 for Reason Rack platform. The synthesizer uses the additive sound synthesis concept, offers up to 1024 oscillators per voice, widest range of possibilities, built-in effects and modulation matrix. Roland corporation has released an update for a hybrid mini synth JD-Xi up to v1.50. Now it features an interactive function which allows making chord progression, octave shifts, introduces a compressor based on Side Chain algorithm and a Shuffle function.
