The Yamaha A4000 is a professional 16-bit, 44.1 kHz sampler released in 1999. It was designed to provide sound designers, producers and musicians with an extremely powerful sound-editing tool. It featured a 3.5" floppy disk drive, internal HDD and could accommodate up to 8MB of RAM, allowing users to store thousands of samples. It also included two MIDI ports and two 1/4" analog outputs. The A4000 was compatible with all popular music software, allowing users to easily integrate samples into their music production environment.
