In 2004, Roland released a number of E-series instruments, which includes E-200 intelligent synthesizer. E-200 arranger includes a polyphony allowing up to 64 voices, a 61-note velocity sensitive keyboard, and a flash memory of 1.5 MB. You can save up to 99 songs for further use or performing, and, of course, locate them into your computer via USB. The MIDI keyboard supports compatibility with such formats as GM2, GS and XG.

E-200 has a built-in metronome and 16-track sequencer. E-200 comprises a wide range of sounds, from standard drum kits (20 drum kits) to pianos (510 sounds). It is worth noting that the sounds of the piano were taken from Roland digital piano.

Built-in speakers sound excellent. A large, user-friendly backlit screen displays important values that help improve the workflow. The effects should be mentioned as well, the section includes: 8 types of reverb, 8 types of chorus, and 47 varieties of multi-effects. The rear panel is equipped with MIDI input/output, USB for file transfer, as well as 2 1/4 (6.3 mm) outputs.
