It was one of the first polyphonic synthesizers and was capable of producing up to eight notes simultaneously. The Polymoog featured two oscillators, two envelope generators, two low-frequency oscillators, and a noise generator. It also featured a unique keyboard design that allowed for the playing of chords and arpeggios. The Polymoog was used by many prominent musicians, including Stevie Wonder, Tangerine Dream, and Yes.
