X-Pro Up model has a lot in common with PC3 synthesizer, but it’s also encased in a beautiful piano housing with an elaborate speaker system and sound based on the V.A.S.T. synthesis (arguably most perfect synthesis system). This technology has made it possible for the user to find almost unlimited opportunities for creating samples. Traditionally X-Pro Up provides the musician with its wide palette of legendary Kurzweil sounds with 850 voices and the presence of 2 slots for expansion cards. The model also has a 128-voice polyphony with 32 sound layers for each voice.

The effects section included over 500 effects. Among the effects there are reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, EQ, distortion, Leslie and many others. There is also a 16-track sequencer with an unlimited number of songs and 16 unique "Riff" generators that are used to trigger MIDI sequencing with the help of a keyboard or other controllers.

In addition to the 128 factory settings and 2048 user ones, X-Pro Up features a large enough and convenient LCD 240x64 for easy navigating, as well as advanced MIDI and USB functions.

The weighted hammer action keyboard of the instrument features Triple-Strike Grand Piano technology. The tool allows you to adjust the sensitivity levels of the keyboard (10 levels), as well as the settings for aftertouch (7 levels).
