The keyboard offers a 73-note keybed featuring premium graded-hammer action (RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action). There are 8 tuning curves which are accessible via the Function button and include equal, grand piano stretch, electric piano stretch, electric grand, upright stretch, detuned and two custom types which can be configured with the help of some editor software.
The most needed controls are brought on the surface. The rotary knobs are illuminated with LEDs and can be pushed to change settings, 8 buttons trigger Favorites.
SV-1 presents 6 separate stages of signal processing. The instrument offers a 3-band equalizer; the Pre FX section which includes the crucial stages of preparatory processing such as Compression, Boost, U-Vibe, Chorus/Vibrato, Tremolo, Wah; AMP Model section featuring amplifier modeling, cabinet simulation and noise reduction – choose the right nuance or add some audacity while Korg’s exclusive Valve Reactor circuit brings some tube behavior; Modulation FX section provides with famous stomp-box pedals recreations and rotary speaker emulations; Reverb/Delay section includes 4 types of reverb (room, plate, hall, spring), as well as a classic tape echo effect and a digital delay. To complete the processing the signal enters the limiter section adjustable via software editing.
The connectivity includes balanced XLR and 1/4” outputs; Left and Right audio inputs; MIDI In and MIDI out jacks, USB MIDI Port, and 3 pedal connections.
Sound Generation is based on EDS (Enhanced Definition Synthesis). The instrument delivers maximum polyphony of 80 notes and 6 banks with 6 variations of sounds.
