Ketron Vega, like many other synthesizers launched by the company, has a 64-note polyphony, a 32-part multitimbrality and 61 velocity sensitive keys. The left part of the keyboard locates the wheels of unusual shape: the joystick for pitch/modulation. At the top of the instrument you can find quite an extensive control set, including a backlit display with dimensions of 240x128. On the screen you can see the main information (name, instrument, faders, etc.).
Vega has a wide range of sounds: 24 MB of PCM samples, 290 preset sounds, 20 drum kits, 450 percussions, drum grooves. Moreover, the synthesizer has 110 programmable user voices with envelope control, LFO, wheels, aftertouch and effects. Vega also has 198 kinds of auto accompaniment and 198 custom styles with programmable parameter settings.
The synthesizer boasts a variety of effects, ranging from reverb/delay and ending with a distortion/wah-wah. The sampler allows you to store up to 8 MB of 16 bit/44.100 kHz data.
There you can edit the time, loop type, reverse and delete. The rear panel of Vega offers the inputs for stereo headphones, 2 line inputs, microphone input, MIDI input/output/thru, 2 outputs, and connectors for sustain and volume pedals. Among the effects there are reverberation, chorus, delay, rotor, wah, and even distortion.
