The release of Ketron SX3000 took place in 2005. Percussions (Darbuka, Tef, Hollo, Bendir, Davul) prevail in this model as well as the sounds of Turkish instruments: Ud, Yay, Zurna, Baglama, Cumbus, Dtelli, Elksaz, Gitar, Kanun, Kaval, Keman, Clarnet, Mey, Ney. SX3000 has a 61-note semi-weighted keyboard, modulation wheels and 2 large built-in speakers. SX3000 model has a 64-note polyphony.
The upper front part of the device is divided into several sections: at the top there is a display with all the most important information on the selection of banks/effects and editing, the left one is for adjustment of volume/transpose, effects, and the right one is for selection of voices (piano, organ, guitar, and even synths/pads).
The first section is a digital panel for selecting patches, and the second section with buttons is intended for configuring presets and menu navigation. In a multi-timbral mode, SX3000 works with GM-banks (292 patches) which sound quite realistic.
In addition to GM-banks, you can find 292 preset patches, 110 user and 24 drum kits. The first 3 GM-banks offer different voices. A separate 4th bank is derived from GM. Several buttons on the control panel are used to program the presets.
"Panel" voices can contain up to 3 layers, where each layer represents one sound from the GM bank. In some samples the performance can be composed in a similar manner. In addition, for final sound shaping, you can use the effects: reverb, chorus, distortion and delay.
