MP4 (formerly referred to as MP3000) incorporated the best of the functions of the previous version of the instrument - MP9500. The polyphony of the instrument is increased up to 96 notes. The interface included a USB port for connecting to a computer, it also became much more convenient thanks to a liquid crystal display and allowed musicians to easily find the necessary settings.
Based on Harmonic Imaging technology, Kawai MP4 instrument is able to produce high-quality recorded samples. MP4 contains 64 high-quality sound instruments, including the sounds of the famous concert grand piano Kawai. The piano has 4 zones, which can be individually INT, EXT configured. Each of the zones can be played separately or in ensemble. At the same time, multi zones allow the musician to work freely: to split, layer, change speed, creating a complex musical palette.
The instrument has 7 types of reverb: Plate, reverb 1, reverb 2, Stage 1, Stage 2, Room 1, Room 2. There are also 20 types of effects: Chorus, Flanger, Celeste, Ensemble, Delay 1-4, Auto Pan 1-2, Tremolo 1-2, Phaser 1-2, Rotary 1-2, Auto Wah, Pedal Wah, Enhancer, Overdrive.
MP4 keyboard (88 weighted keys) has Advanced Hammer Action IV technology, which gives more control for a dynamic performing.
MP4 by Kawai is an excellent professional digital piano with high quality sound, a keyboard that subtly responds to the touch of musician's fingers. Despite its outstanding specification, it has a light housing and convenient dimensions, which, undoubtedly, will appeal to lovers of live performance.
