Farfisa’s Soundmaker is a one-oscillator synth with poly and mono sections featuring one LFO, one filter and one VCA with two independent envelopes for the filter and amp. The 61-note keyboard supports aftertouch. The aftertouch helps to adjust the synth glide, brass brilliance, mono synth brilliance or create vibrato.

The instrument offers 3 instrumental section including Synth, String and Piano/Brass. There are volume/brightness controls available in the polyphonic preset synth part which offers piano sounds including Piano, Electric Piano, Honkey Tonk, Brass while the monophonic synth part offers 12 preset sounds including Tuba, Trombone, Trumpet, Sax, Clarinet, Oboe, Flute, Piccolo, Violin, Accordion, El Bass, El Guitar. You can also use a free patch in order sculpt your own sound.

Volume, Brightness, Attack and Sustain can be adjusted for preset string voices. Soundmaker is quite a rare and ponderous instrument and it delivers plausible quality sounds even strings can be polished to proper level with some slight adjustment.
