Four functional units are combined into one enclosure to create a musical unpredictability or arrange a “source of uncertainty”. There’s a noise generator at the top of the module. It has three outputs:
3 dB / oct - white noise;
-3 dB / oct - white noise with low spectral shift;
Flat - acoustically balanced white noise.
The next functional unit - Fluctuating Random Voltages (fluctuating random voltage generator), allows to obtain a cyclic randomization of the input voltage. The cycle is set by the controller in the range from 0.5 to 50 Hz.
Quantized Random Voltages generates a series of random pulses from the applied voltage. The number of states is controlled by voltage, they can be generated from two to twenty-four. The distribution and size of the pulses are random.
Stored random voltages are also designed to randomly change the input voltage, but this block provides three controllable parameters.
It is possible to adjust the range of values of "randomness", the increase or decrease in voltage and the degree of flatness of the output signal. All parameters can be changed by external CV signals.
The settings of each function block can be saved in the preset manager.
