Manikin Electronic is a German brand that produces electronic musical instruments. The company's activity is focused on Memotron - a synthesizer that revived the once popular and unique Mellotron.

The brand offers an impressive range of additional sounds for each of its Memotron products plus to the basic collection which is supplied exclusively with each instrument.

Memotron m2d became a Memotron family member not so long ago – its robust metal case houses all the controls featured on the classic M400 front panel. The sounds are played directly from the internal memory, which offers about 700 "cells" with no need for a loading process. New sounds can be imported with the help of SD cards, while settings, including panorama, volume, effects, and attack and release time can be stored in the form of frames.

Hundreds of sounds are included in the purchased instrument, such as: the complete collection of Studio and Vintage 1, as well as the selection of sounds from other collections which are available and 57 new ones. You can also upload other sounds of Memotron Sounds range. The integrated effects section offers a number of configurable parameters for distortion, phaser, flanger, chorus, tremolo, echo and delay.

The instrument supports 3-voice polyphony and up to 3 uploadable sounds, built-in and full-featured effects processor. The connectivity is represented by the headphone output, the input for the volume pedal, the stereo line input, the MIDI input and output.

Memotron m2k is a kind of digital replica of the instrument with one of the most impressive histories. The original dictates the classic design and layout of the controls. Memotron m2k offers a library with an excellent selection of high-quality samples taken from authentic 60-70x instruments, thanks to which it is easy to recreate the nostalgic atmosphere of those times when David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Yes, Genesis, Bee Gees and Tangerine Dream used to rock. Genesis, Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues and Klaus Schulze were fond of it as well. The keyboard does not require an obligatory sound uploading, 700 memory cells supply voices directly. New sounds can be imported using SD cards, while settings, including panorama, volume, effects, and attack and fade times) can be stored in the form of frames. Hundreds of sounds are included in the purchased instrument, namely: the complete collection of Studio and Vintage 1, as well as the selection of mono sounds from other collections available and 57 new ones. You can also download any other sounds of Memotron Sounds. The integrated effects section offers a number of configurable parameters for distortion, phaser, flanger, chorus, tremolo, echo and delay.
