street priceBoss DR-3 is the most portable drum machine from the entire "DR" series. It has a small display, 13 velocity sensitive pads and a small number of buttons for basic manipulation of both the patterns and percussion.
The device has a library of 120 kinds of percussion: kicks, snares, toms, hi-hats, cymbals (and an additional 12 types of bass), which stand out thanks to their incredible imitation of live acoustic drums (like in Linn LM-1).
DR-3 has 100 preset patterns for different genres, ranging from rock/funk, and ending with jazz/Latin music. "Sound Shape" button adjusts the overall tone of the sound, and "Ambience" changes the overall acoustic characteristics. They also contain 8 presets, and 8 custom ones for saving the preferred settings.
