street priceThe most budget controller DDJ-SB2 made by Pioneer appeared on the shelves in 2016. It is a follower of DDJ-SB, and has the same features, such as: chunky responsive platters, a 3-band equalizer, special filter knobs, and 16 pads. Its body is made of plastic, but there is no feeling that this device is just a "toy." It impresses with its portability, and is used for quite serious purposes.
After the DDJ-SB predecessor, several improvements have been added, such as: Trim knobs that allow you to adjust the level of the current loaded track, a pair of track level meters with 5 segments, a switchable control for decks 3 and 4, and a unique Pad Trans effect.
The latter activates the top row of 4 pads to create a gate.
The pads are also designed to work together with the "Hot Cue", "Auto Loop", "Manual Loop" and auxiliary sampler activation with up to 8 samples per pad. DDJ-SB2 has support for the most popular applications for DJs, including Serato DJ and Rekordbox.
