Innovative products of Orthogonal Devices are primarily aimed at serving eurorack modular synthesizers. A 4-track sequencer ER-101 and its controller expander ER-102 were the predecessors of ER-301 module.
Orthogonal Devices opted for modular instruments construction because they wanted to create music without any need to resort to a computer – music market lacks digital instruments which could help us with that.
ER-301 hardware components are absolutely ready to shoot but the software isn’t as convincing yet that’s why the developers themselves ask to slow down a little bit with shopping for it – at least for a couple of months. The module software shows signs of future success giving good grounds for expecting. The engineers of Orthogonal Devices might actually pioneer some innovations making ER-301 Sound Computer truly outstanding among others soon. User guide is still missing so everyone who got interested should watch and listen. To read about it they would need to wait for 2017, right after New Year.
ER-301 Sound Computer is now available for $875.
