Native Instruments, Conductive Labs, AVP and Percussa share some news

Meet a multifunctional unit Maschine Mk3 by Native Instruments as well as their smart keyboard controller Komplete Kontrol Mk2. Have a minute and pay attention to the nice little Soviet MBS-100 made by the Russian brand AVP Synth. Get inspired with a multipart polyphonic arpeggiator NDLR and simply get your own Percussa Super Signal Processor because it's already shipping.

Native Instruments Maschine Mk3&Komplete Kontrol Mk2 S49

Two new products Maschine Mk3 and Komplete Kontrol Mk2 S49 / S61 have been announced by Native Instruments

Maschine Mk3 is an integrated hardware/software system which comprises sampler, arranger, mixer, FX (including filter, EQ, delay, reverb, and compressor), and more.

The new units got 2 high-resolution RGB color screens, hardware featuring more dedicated function buttons and 16 responsive pads as well as a built-in 96kHz / 24-bit audio interface. You’ll have a 8 GB Maschine library with samples, one-shots, sliced loops, sampled instruments, presets, patterns, drum kits, and songs.

There’s also a Smart Strip for strumming notes, pitch bending sounds, performing with FX and a Four-directional push encoder; a classic groovebox features including 16 velocity levels and various note playback modes; a sequencer, and vintage MPC 60/SP-1200 sampling emulation

The instrument is compatible with all major DAWs and offers inputs, 1/4” dynamic mic input, stereo headphone output, MIDI In/Out, and a Footswitch. Powered via USB 2.0 or with the included power supply unit.

Komplete Kontrol Mk2 is a smart keyboard controller for any virtual instrument featuring pro-grade Fatar 49 or 61-note semi-weighted keybeds with aftertouch.

Komplete Kontrol Mk2 offers:

  • Pre-mapped control of Komplete instruments, Full VSTi support, hundreds of Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) instruments from popular brands
  • 2 high resolution color screens
  • Deep integration with Maschine software/hardware
  • 4-directional push encoder
  • Two assignable pedal inputs
  • MIDI in/out
  • The unit is USB 2.0 bus powered
Conductive Labs NDLR, Percussa SSP

Conductive Labs willing to produce their NDLR (‘noodler’) - a hardware multipart polyphonic arpeggiator - has initiated a Kickstarter project.

With NDLR you can use up to 8 synthesizers via MIDI. Send a bass line or an arpeggiated sequence to some synthesizer, chord notes to 4 synths, some drone note to a synth which will evolve it in the best possible way.

With the seven buttons you can play any chord which if the circle of buttons gets fixed on being “shifted” can be emitted in different types: in triads, 7ths, 9ths, suspensions and others, while the sonorities are automatically selected based on the chord degree, the key and mode chosen.

Percussa Super Signal Processor Eurorack Module is now available to pre-order. You can do it on Friday, 15 September, at 8PM PDT for $1650 (plus shipping) on the official website. After 15 September the price is promised to be higher.

AVP Synth MBS-100m

MBS-100 MIDI Bass Synthesizer has been devised by the Russian brand AVP Synth as a renaissance of the short Soviet music industry epoch – you might have seen such knob design in any “tweaking” Russian device produced before 1990s.

The unit offers a hybrid analog-digital synthesis. The structure comprises 2 voltage-controlled digital 4-waveform oscillators (pulse waves are fixed the way Aelita or Polivoks were), voltage controlled filter (fully analog 12 db/oct low pass filter), 2 ADSRs, voltage controlled amplifier, low frequency oscillator.

Connectivity is presented with MIDI In/Thru (16 channels + Omni), audio output – one mix output (mono 6.3 mm jack).
