Media Overkill a.k.a. MOK has announced the shipping of Waverazor – software synthesizer using the new approach to synthesis. Now it’s available for Mac and Windows.
The developers consider Waverazor to be a futuristic synthesizer splicing waveforms into aggressive sounds. The new product is based on the patented oscillator design which slices sound waves up to 16 fragments and then allows modulating o each fragment.
Waverazor was created by famous specialists - Rob Rampley, Taiho Yamada and Chris Compton.
You’ll get the new device for $75. The demo version is available.
We have already mentioned this new software by MOK. Taiho Yamada shared with media some information about the technology which is defined as granular synthesis because of the frequencies correlation.
Besides, the new design is going to allow such operations as oscillator hard sync (multiple simultaneous hard sync points can be set up), unconventional modulation resulting in unique supernatural sounds. According to the developers while using the synthesizer you can produce juicy sound even with one oscillator – you can imagine what a fluorescent flow you’ll get if you apply all three of them simultaneously. This virtual oscillator features many adjustable parameters. Besides, each virtual voice can have up to 3 filters put in parallel or in series.
