XV-5050 is a rack synthesizer with a 64-voice polyphony and 16-part multitimbrality. The structure gives 64MB wave memory, 1083 waveforms. MFX is a section of multi effects which can be applied simultaneously in Performance Mode. The effects present 3 types of chorus, 5 types of reverb. There’s a 2-band equalizer for each of the 4 outputs.
Memory offers 1024 preset patches (128 x 8 Banks) + 256 (GM2) 16 rhythm sets (2 x 8 Banks) + 9 (GM2) 64 performances (32 x 2 Banks), 128 user patches, 4 user rhythm sets, and 64 user performances.
XV-5050 is based on the XV-5080 synth engine. The unit allows for four stereo tones per patch and offers expressive Matrix Control. The sound selection comprises patches from XV-5080 and Fantom-X series. There are 90 multi effects and 3 effects processors with 24-bit reverb and chorus.
The connectivity is represented with 4 analog outputs, digital outputs, USB port for MIDI, SRX expansion ports allowing up to 192MB of extra sounds, and 24-bit D/A converters.
