The "heavyweight" in specs, stage instrument RD-300SX appeared on the music market as one of the lightest digital pianos of the series with a solid and durable housing and convenient transportation possibilities. In addition, RD-300SX has an extended MIDI and USB interface for integration with other equipment.
Having one of the most powerful sound engines ever made by Roland, RD-300SX included a 128-voice polyphony, a hundred additional sounds and rhythms, as well as piano samples taken from Fantom-X. The effects section includes about 78 multi-effects featuring reverb and a 2-band equalizer - in general, the instrument has great sound control capabilities.
The instrument settings are simple and straight as usual: the dedicated buttons and knobs are designed for instant access to recorded sounds, equalizer settings and keyboard split functions. This made it possible to quickly save and change sounds with one click of a button, so that a musician, first of all, could focus on the performance, and not on menu diving.
The keyboard with 88 keys is based on the Compact Progressive Hammer Action technology, which is characterized by a more compact and light hammer action mechanism. But at the same time, the keyboard also conveys the nuances of the acoustic instrument as well.
