Foundation 2 is a compact two-voice modular synthesizer. It is assembled comprising twelve modules, but any of them can easily be replaced with any other module in the Eurorack format.

The synthesizer includes:

  • MIDI2 - a duo interface for converting MIDI commands to control voltages (CV).
  • Two modules "Oscillator" – allow you to receive a saw, a sine, a triangle and a meander with PWM (pulse width modulation).
  • LFO2 - two low frequency generators. Each has individual outputs for the sawtooth and square signal. Pulse width modulation is available for the upper LFO.
  • MOD - ring modulation with three modes of operation and separate level control for each input.
  • M3 is a passive splitter and two 2-channel unregulated mixers.
  • Mixer is a four-channel mixer (3 channels can be used as independent attenuators).
  • Filter - multimode voltage controlled filter. It has individual outputs for low (LP), high (HP), band (BP) and notch filters.
  • Two modules "ADSR" - envelope generators with the adjustment of attack, decay, sustain and release.
  • Dual VCA - two classic voltage-controlled amplifiers. Each has an independent CV input with an attenuator.
  • Outs - provides audio output from the modular system. It has two independent channels, which allows it to be used in both stereo and dual mono mode. A preamp for headphones with an independent level control is also provided.

It’s the predecessor of Foundation 3.1.

Foundation 3.1+ is the same Foundation 3.1, placed in a housing twice as large. “Plus” in its name means that the system is ready for expansion by installing additional modules. The case is fully compatible with any Eurorack format modules. The case has an empty space of 104HP, closed by a panel-plug.
