The multi-player XDJ-700 by Pioneer was released in 2015, and it took the characteristics from the predecessor XDJ-1000. It has a touch LCD screen, a removable stand and offers full compatibility with the Rekordbox soft. The Rekordbox software is designed to integrate with Pioneer equipment.
Rekordbox has nothing to do with Serato, Traktor, Virtual DJ, as it is not intended for performances. Rekordbox is more suitable for preparing music material. This means assigning CUE points and loops, checking the grid, and dividing tracks by priority.
XDJ-700 has "Pro DJ Link", which allows you to connect up to 4 players, interacting with DJM mixers, and with a laptop through a local network. The main part of the interface includes a central platter, a tempo slider, and the following transport control buttons: playback, CUE, search/track search, loop, and vinyl mode. Tracks can be downloaded thanks to the provided WI-FI, or via USB-drive.
The 7" full-color touch screen displays waveforms with the possibility of their boosting, BPM, CUE-points, and libraries, the latter can be viewed with the rotary knob located to the left of the display, or call the "QWERTY" keyboard for more convenient search by keywords. It can also perform the effect of "stuttering", or reverse a certain fragment (slip mode).
