The 2-channel DJ controller Numark Mixtrack 3 offers a simple, high-quality, and quite "generous" control selection for basic purposes, as well as Virtual DJ software. The difference between Mixtrack 3 and its follower Mixtrack Pro 3 is that the first one does not have any audio outputs, and has different software. The interface for both models is the same.
The device includes 2 long faders for pitch change, scroll bars for navigating tracks, and other purposes, filters per channel, and 2 platters with an amazing response. It also has a volumeter (sound level meter), but only for the master. Mixtrack Pro 3 provides the user with performance pads with sampler functions, Cue point assignments, and Loop manipulation.
The effects section is designed to control 3 single effects, selected in Serato DJ. The range of effects varies from phaser/distortion to delay and reverb. They can be changed by adjusting the Dry/Wet on the scroll bar. The inputs and outputs of the DJ controller present an elaborated selection, there is a simple microphone channel (1/4 TRS) with volume control, 2 RCA outputs, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
