Novation Remote 61 is a next generation MIDI controller that looks great and ensures a brilliant workflow. The instrument combines unique technologies of Automap and SL (Soft Label). They allow you to create communication between the controller and the computer via USB. The controls of Remote 61 interface get assigned to the controls of your software automatically, and the name and value of each parameter is displayed on the dual LCD. The semi-weighted keyboard has velocity-sensitive keys, and is perfect for a nice performance.
While most users will prefer to use the USB cable to power the device and send data via the computer, the SL remote control can also be used together with the power supply and conventional MIDI cables if necessary. Remote 61 offers a wide selection of controls. The templates are amenable to comprehensive editing, and are assigned directly to the parameters of the buttons, knobs, faders and pads. Above the keys there is a control panel: 16 knobs, 8 drum pads, 8 sliders, a section with transport controls and many other buttons. To the left of the keys there’s the pitch/mod joystick. The horizontal pitch controller automatically returns to the center position when released, but the vertical controller has 2 modes: the first one returns it to zero automatically, and the second one doesn’t. And XY is perfect for virtual synthesizers.
