Impulse 49 is full of useful features. There are 8 knobs, 9 faders, 8 backlit drum pads (which can be freely customized and reassigned), modulation/pitch wheels, transport controls for manipulation in DAW, and 9 assignable solo/mute switches. The 49-note semi-weighted keyboard is one of the highlights. As a bonus in this price category aftertouch is featured.
Impulse 49 offers MIDI input/output, a USB connector for MIDI, as well as jacks for sustain and expression pedals. The blue backlight screen displays constantly updated data to show the controller assignments or the parameters involved.
