Drum Station released in 1996 became the first drum synth clone of the legendary drum machines TR-808 and 909. The instrument recreated the sounds with stunning realism thanks to analog modeling (kick, snare, toms, hi-hat, cymbals). In addition, it includes PCM samples (rimshots, claps, maracas, claves and even cowbells).

By default, there are 20 factory sets, as well as 15 user ones, which are stored in the internal memory. The drum machine has 6 assignable audio outputs, which allow you to process (with an equalizer or external effects) each sound separately. The control interface is similar to the classic TR-909. There are 21 knobs provided to adjust volume, tune, attack and decay parameters of drum sounds, and 6 switches for sampling. Moreover, the device offers 2 types of effects: distortion with its aggressive character and front cut for accurate cutting of the attack phase.

For musicians, full control over the MIDI parameters is available. In addition, D-station allows you to combine modern drums with vintage "TR" drum machines through DIN Sync output. The drum synthesizer converts MIDI clock data to DIN Sync control, which allows the use of TB-303, TR-808 or TR-909.
