Buchla 259e is a system of two oscillators: a complex waveform generator and a modulation generator.

The Principal Oscillator can produce signals within nine octaves. Two wavetables are used to construct the signals. Voices can be selected from banks: 1-5 simple waves (sine, square and other basic waveforms), noise. It is possible to select two waves and adjust the mix by the "morph" knob. The "WARP" function is the digital effect of wave distortion. The parameters "morph" and "WARP" can be controlled via CV signals.

The modulation generator can produce a triangular, square or sawtooth wave. The frequency range switches between Low (0.25 - 64Hz) and High (27.5 - 7040Hz), and there is also a "pitch track" function that synchronizes the frequency with the principal oscillator. A modulation generator can control one or more parameters of the principal oscillator, for example, the frequency (pitch) or morph.

  Complex Waveform Generator   1 599.00 U.S.Dollars

261e module generates sound by interaction of the two generators (principal and modulation). Principal oscillator generates a sine wave within the range from 27.5 to 7040 Hz. The base wave can be transformed into a more complex one with the help of a...
