Behringer always had a successful reputation for creating music equipment in an affordable price category. The company released a couple of the very first of its DJ controllers many years ago: B-Control BCD2000 and BCD3000. However, the company has faded out completely in this area for a while, since other brands have occupied the main stage. Finally, the manufacturer got the courage and introduced CMD Studio 4A.
The device looks pretty big. It is made of plastic, but features a black metal front panel. Dimensions did not limit the interface, on the contrary, the extra space allowed designers to add large 6-inch platters, long pitch faders, 8 Hot Cue buttons for each deck, and a 3-band equalizer with additional FX knobs. The latter can have certain effects assigned to them, and large buttons A/B/C/D allow you to control 4 software decks.
The surface of CMD Studio 4A does not contain any surprises, however, it is a completely standard controller with a nice fixed layout of buttons and knobs for an intuitive workflow. Nevertheless, the manufacturer has prepared 1 pleasant surprise, which is called "Kill", in the equalizer section. The rear panel is very simple: a USB jack for computer, DC-in (power transformer included), as well as 2 pairs of stereo RCA outputs.
