The Roland SH-1000 is an analog monophonic synthesizer released by Roland in 1973. It was the first synthesizer released by Roland and was the first commercially available synthesizer in Japan. The SH-1000 featured one VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) and one VCF (voltage-controlled filter) and was capable of producing a wide range of sounds. It was widely used in the 1970s and 1980s in a variety of genres, including electronic, funk, and disco.
