Impulse 25 offers MIDI input/output, USB connector for MIDI, and jacks for sustain and expression pedals. The blue backlit screen displayes constantly updated data to show the controller assignments or the parameters involved. An excellent addition is the arpeggiator with 6 modes, which can be tempo synced with DAW.
