In 1994, fans of Bass Station series were able to approach the updated version - Bass Station Rack. In addition to the form factor change, the sound module incorporated a number of brilliant parameters, and it’s been one of the first analog synthesizers since the early 1980s.

The monophonic analog synthesizer has 2 DCOs (Digitally Controlled Oscillator) with rectangular, sawtooth waveforms, and a 12/24 db filter. The low-pass filter can get ADSR envelopes assigned to it, so the fans of subtractive synthesis have tremendous opportunities to extract various sounds. Switching the standard presets, and listening to the timbre, most synth bass remind of the "acid" Roland TB-303 voices and, in particular, Minimoog ones, which was distinguished by its fat and deep sound. In addition to these knobs, the interface brings to the surface pitch and LFO with random, triangular and sawtooth waves.

Fortunately, the sound module has a built-in MIDI/CV converter hanks to which it can be managed by a MIDI controller, or by an old analog synthesizer. Any knob is easily assigned to a MIDI controller (MIDI CC), and internal reserves allow you to store up to 60 individual patches. Another important feature is the analog input for processing external sound sources. The list of famous musicians who used the instrument: William Ørbit, Biosphere, Massive Attack, Orbital, Apollo 440, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Jimi Tenor, Laurent Garnier, ATB, Sneaker Pimps, Out of Logic and Underworld.
