street priceWerkstatt 01 is a DIY kit for an analog monophonic synthesizer assembly. The synthesizer includes all the required functional blocks:
One voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), which can generate a sawtooth or rectangular wave. The "GREQ" knob sets the operating range of the generating (a kind of octave shift switch), "PWM" sets the pulse width for the square wave.
For VCO modulation, a source selection (envelope or LFO generator), a depth controller and a modulation type switch (PW/FM) are provided.
VCF is a classic 24 dB per octave Moog filter. It has the adjustment of the cutoff frequency and resonance.
Modulation of the VCF can be performed with an LFO or an envelope generator. You can set the depth and polarity of the modulation.
LFO has a frequency adjustment and a switch of the generated wave type: meander/triangle.
The envelope generator has an adjustment of the attack and decay time, as well as the sustain which can be switched off.
The non-dynamic keyboard has a range of one octave (13 buttons).
On the right side of the synthesizer there’s a patch panel for routing control signals (CV).
The assembly of the synthesizer is very simple and requires putting the boards into a metal housing. There are many official and custom modifications of varying complexity on the Internet.
