It was the first Korg synthesizer to feature digital waveform synthesis and was one of the first digital synthesizers to be released. The DW-6000 was capable of producing a wide range of sounds, from classic analog-style sounds to more modern digital sounds. It featured two oscillators, two digital filters, two envelope generators, and an LFO. It also featured a built-in arpeggiator and a 16-step sequencer.
