The Ensoniq VFX is a synthesizer and digital sampling workstation released by Ensoniq in 1985. It was the first synthesizer to feature a built-in hard disk drive for storing samples and sequences. It was also the first synthesizer to feature a built-in 16-track sequencer. The VFX was capable of producing complex and realistic sounds and was used by many artists in the 1980s and 1990s.
