The unit is based on the Buchla 252e module, which allows you to create complex rhythmic patterns in any measure. For graphic displaying, a round screen with eleven color rings displaying rhythmic sequences is used. Three counters are displayed in color and are subjected to the master metronome, the value of which can be set from 10 to 250 beats per minute. A large number of CV and pulse outputs allow you to transfer rhythmic control signals to other modules and systems.
For ease of interfacing with other systems and synthesizers, 225h and 226h modules are included in the LEM3. This allows you to both receive a MIDI signal and transmit the generated rhythmic sequences via the MIDI protocol.
