Yamaha Genos - first video by professionals

This beast is huge! The size is big, functionality is deep, interface is detailed. The screen is large and full color. The new workstation of the leading Japanese manufacturer sounds fat, it has a catchall connectivity range and gives unprecedented flexibility. Watch this video and stay tuned. We will provide you with further details soon!

Yamaha Genos

Large touch screen, brand new live controllers (save sounds into registration memory just the way you played them), amazing piano sounds (C7 grand piano, Upright piano, CFX), powerful DSP, 550 styles.

Basic arrangements welcome you to build on them adding some solo instruments. Combine the options, pick some unplugged style, add some multipad guitar choosing a polyrhythm and top it with anything you might prefer, set different chord rhythms for both hands.

The voice gateway gives you the overview of all the settings you have at your disposal (all the sounds you’ve picked, the status of each sound including EQ, reverbs and DSP effects that have been selected), get 11 DSPs allocated to the style, choose between direct and ambient signal with a mod joystick. Drums have been sampled in different environments and feature impressive dynamics - one of the snares has been through 26 layers of processing.

Wave cycling (first time used on a hardware instrument!) will give you a slightly different sample everytime you hit one of the drums. Play drums with brushes or sticks.

The drum kit editor onboard allows you to combine different elements of various drum kits.

1/4” XLR combo jack will provide phantom power (you can connect a studio condenser mic).

Yamaha Genos is both marvelous on stage and in a studio. Enjoy a 16-track sequencer, high quality compressors, EQs and a top notch digital out which are there for you in your creative process.
