Superbooth 17 presented new products made by Soulsby Synthesizers company: Oscidrum software (an 8-part 16-step drum machine for Oscitron hardware Eurorack module) as well as AT-ARP arpeggiator module and shared with us some specs and possibilities the new devices feature.
According to Soulsby Synthesizers representative Paul Soulsby Oscidrum is an 8-part 16-step drum machine for Oscitron module which is based on Atmegatron semi-modular synthesizer. The software could be downloaded for free. An overlay and programmer cable can be purchased separately (together with the Odytron graphic overlay).
What is Oscidrum about:
- Engine sample rate can be controlled locally or via V/Oct input.
- Each instrument has volume, pitch, length and delay FX parameters.
- Currently (in May but this will increase in time) 2 banks of sounds available.
- 8 user patterns with the ability to save instrument parameters.
As for AT-ARP – this is the new 2HP module based on Atmegatron arpeggiator algorithm.
