Native Instruments released Blocks 1.3 update

Native Instruments has updated Reaktor Blocks 1.3 virtual modular system. It’s been announced that five new modules weren’t modeled on specific gear. The update will cost you $200, and is available for free if you’re a Reaktor 6 user.

Native Instruments company has reported that the Blocks: Kodiak family got a new member – the virtual modular system Reaktor Blocks 1.3. has been updated. It’s been announced that five new modules weren’t modeled on specific gear, but, according to the creators, these devices are going to combine analog signal with the power of digital era.

  • Duality OSC is a dual oscillator. It features an upgraded wave-shaping. The device provides you with FM, AM, phase and timbre modulation. It will suit you if you need to generate snarling basses, spirited percussion and bright leads.
  • Shift Sequencer is an unconventional sequencer that will help simplify the process of polyrhythmic sequencing. The device has independent length and direction controllers for pitch, octave, velocity, hold and gate.
  • Curve Sequencer is a MASSIVE’s stepped mod sequencer in the Blocks rack. It will seem ideal to those who work with electronic music thanks to providing them with a complex stepped modulation.
  • Morph Filter comprises a triple resonant filter bank. The device is about morphing between settings for vowel sounds, percussion or chords.
  • Flip Gen is a rich tone-generator as well as experimental noise source. It will help you to create bleepy sequences, bell-like FM, morse, pitched noise, crispy textures. You can also use it as a random modulator.

Reaktor Blocks 1.3 includes five new ensembles, each of which is a true full-fledged synthesizer. They represent five new modules with more than 195 new presets. It covers anything from polyrhythmic techno groove to the filtered Daft Punk-like vowels.

Blocks 1.3, a part of the Reaktor 6, can be purchased for $199, €199, ¥24800, £169 or AU$279. A free update is available for Reaktor 6 users.
